Who We Are

I'm a trial lawyer by training, but over the course of my career I've come to think of myself just as much as a business partner and problem solver. I founded the Diefenbach Group on a straightforward idea: businesses deserve the same quality of legal counsel they'd get from a large downtown firm — without the overhead, inefficiency, and cost that comes with it.

Before starting the firm, I served as Director of Litigation for Gruma Corporation (Mission Foods), one of the world's largest tortilla and flatbread manufacturers, where I oversaw a nationwide portfolio of lawsuits, class actions, and regulatory matters. Before that, I was an equity partner and lead litigator at a national law firm, and earlier in my career, a Major in the United States Marine Corps serving as a judge advocate. Those three experiences — military service, big law, and in-house executive leadership — shaped how I approach every client engagement: fight hard when necessary, negotiate smart when possible, and always keep the client's real-world goals in focus.

Today, my practice is centered on representing businesses and business owners across a range of matters, with particular depth in business and commercial litigation, manufacturing and distribution law, corporate transactions, and executive counsel. I've managed national litigation portfolios involving complex commercial disputes, class actions, and government investigations, and I've served as the kind of trusted advisor that CEOs and operations leaders call before a problem becomes a crisis.

What I hear most from clients is that I'm easy to talk to and quick to understand what's actually at stake. I speak the same language as plant managers, operations leads, and executives — and I work hard to make sure legal support drives your business forward rather than slowing it down.

When I'm not practicing law, I'm usually on the sidelines coaching or cheering on my teenage children in athletics. My family and I also run a small farm where we raise horses, chickens, and goats — a life that keeps me grounded and reflects the same values of hard work and resilience I bring to my practice every day.
